Speed of Light
The Italian artist Fabrizio Corneli returns five years after his last show in Valencia with "Speed of Light". An exhibition made up of light installations that, playing with light and shadow, reveal figures, silhouettes and drawings that transform the space; giving rise to a unique art, between painting and sculpture. This painting without painting, and this sculpture without volume, is obtained through the creation of intricate technological pieces of simple appearance in which the artist links craftsmanship with mathematical calculations. A very logical explanation that to the eye of the visitor appears as a subtle magic trick performed by a true magician of light. Outside any existing artistic current, but at the core of experimentation on visual perception, Corneli suggests immaterial "light paintings", endowed with a chromaticism previously almost absent in his works. In this exhibition, the Italian artist dilutes the previously concrete figure into dynamic, abstract compositions whose appearance seems to be taken from the world of dreams.
