Intemperies Musicales 2022

This exhibition "Intemperies Musicales" is a synergy between art and music, an exhibition that expresses in its title the different origins of "time", by combining "intemperie" (intemperies: exposed to climatological wheather; negative of temperies: just temperature or climate) and musical "time" (tempus, which refers to chronological time, to the measurement and duration of things, therefore also to music) to produce new sound experiences.

The Artist

Roberto Pugliese (Naples, 1982) graduated in Electronic Music in 2008, under the guidance of Agostino di Scipio, and since 2009 has taught at conservatories and fine arts academies in Naples, Frosinone, Bari and Milan. He currently teaches Multimedia at the Conservatory of Naples, which he combines with his musical career and as an electroacoustic artist.

The Experience

Roberto Pugliese recognises his sources in sound art, kinetic art and programmed art. The first is a direct consequence of his musical training, conceiving sound as an object of study and as a means of expression. From kinetic art he learns to understand the environment as a fundamental element of the work, using mechanical means and software to generate unusual phenomena linked to sound. The result: a type of work where sound and visuals take place simultaneously, as they are conceived as inseparable.
