Carmen Jabaloyes

"Viaje a La Habana", by the Valencian artist Carmen Jabaloyes, was the exhibition not only of a work, but of a story told through it. A story of friendship in which the main impulse was the search for light. A warm luminosity that led the author to plan with her friend Anja Ruttyn a trip to Cuba, a destination that finally could not reach. This exhibition was the reflection of the Cuba that Carmen Jabaloyes could only see through the eyes of her friend. Fernando Castro, curator of the exhibition, explained his work this way: "Jabaloyes endows the snapshots of Anja with an overflowing color that is very romantic-late, making it the chromatic carnation that dominates beyond the defined outline of the drawing ".
