Revisando la escultura del S. XXI - Galería Ana Serratosa

Catálogo de la exposición

In the second exhibition space the Ana Serratosa Gallery offers  a place to stop and contemplate art pieces and how art, and specially sculpture, has evolved over the last century
Not only have the materials have changed, but also the way in which we relate to the sculpture itself.

The sculptures do not rest on pedestals anymore, no longer are conceive as something to be observe, but as something to interact with, to relate to, something designed to catch our attention and be part of our environment.

This second exhibition space was conceived as a storage place, which, through design and study of the space, has become an atypical exhibition hall, with a space that allows to show from large works to small creations.

In Revisando la escultura del S.XXI exhibition artist from different cultures and countries meet for the first time, to transform this space into a softer location, and to make us reflect on the new concept of sculpture which this century is about to re-invent.

With this exhibition the Ana Serratosa Gallery intends to review the change that sculpture has been undergoing in recent years, as well as to allow the visitor to interact with each of the pieces and understand that change in a closer and more personal way.
