"Orografía del exilio"

Pedro Medina

The work presented under the name "Orografía Del Exilio" revolved around the term "uprooting" and others as "exile", "memory" and "history". These were works created by the French artist Françoise Vanneraud who, starting from the stroke and the paper, had the power to turn the simple drawing into a sculptural object. Vanneraud used drawings, murals, light boxes, sculptures of paper and wood, to capture the memory, the forgetfulness, the doubt of whether something exists or not, the memories and if these are true or not, what part of truth They contain ... "I think that in memory there is always something that we invent and something that we forget. I see it as a subjective perception of space and time. I like to question all these issues and treat them in my works. I try to make each project an opportunity to propose a hypothesis ", said the author with respect to the sample. This project began with interviews, correspondence or talks he had with his neighbors. From these stories and memories he creates his drawings, reinterpreting the memories and experiences of third parties: "I work intuitively, I draw spontaneously, many times in relation to my dreams and my culture, with what I read, what I have counted ...
