Bernardí Roig

"Flowers & Faces"meant the return of the versatile author Bernardí Roig to the Valencian capital through a show based on watercolors and bronze sculptures. It was the reflection of a very different Bernardí Roig and, but at the same time, very similar to what we have seen evolving over the last three decades. Different by the relative absence of technological elements, often present in their exhibitions. Similar by the use of literary fiction as the guiding thread of each of his pieces, as well as the almost total absence of color in his work. In "Flowers & Faces" the Mallorcan author proposed us an abandonment of mythological references, the theatricality and stark realism emanating from his previous installations, to focus on nature as the main source of inspiration.
