Javier Riera

"Está sucediendo"

Óscar Alonso Molina

Between 2011 and 2012, Javier Riera, artist from the Ana Serratosa Gallery since its inception, illuminates the Valencian vegetation with geometric figures. Powerful projectors and a series of complex architectural maneuvers give way to a state of reverie that transports the spectator who contemplates them. "It's happening", name that receives this exhibition, is the logical step of an artist who does not hesitate to expand horizons and accumulate experiences in the field of plastic arts. Remember that this artist is a painter by trade and that with this sample he wants to paint, with artificial light, a natural being. A dialogue between disciplines, a conversation between different forms of painting. The curator of this exhibition, Oscar Alonso Molina, speaks of "an imposition on his part that forces the earth and its energies to be explained with formulations different from the usual and not a little artifice".
